Around the turn of the millenium (New Years 2000) I launched a website called "BarrioLife.com" so that people could share or read personal life stories and poetry. Don't bother looking now, its gone.

I started that website because after years of surfing the net I didn't find any places that made me feel at home... places with some soul and flavor and real experiences and people. In other words...I couldn't find a website I could trust for a calm atmosphere with no hype, ads, propaganda, or busyness. I wanted to find a website where I could spend a lot of time and read about real people and issues that mattered to me.

So BarrioLife was started...with the intention of existing just so people would know that they are not alone. I wanted people to know that we all experience the ups and downs of life but are never really alone. People have felt and are still feeling the wide range of emotions that this life has to offer. I felt that maybe by people sharing their stories on this site...that they could find some kind of peace.

The website was receiving a lot of submissions but due to changes in my lifestyle I couldn't keep up with BarrioLife.com and the hundreds of submissions (poetry and life stories) that were being sent in.

So now, in the same spirit of BarrioLife, I start SeaDeeper.com (around New Years of 2006) with the hopes that it will become as successful as BarrioLife.com not in the number of submissions it gets but in its true quality to its visitors. If you leave the website feeling more connected to other people even though you do not know them face-to-face, or if you feel touched by someones life story or poetry...then this website has served its purpose.
